Lice

Lice is NOT considered a communicable disease. Per CDC guidance, students found to have lice are not required to leave school. Follow the links below for detailed information on lice, its prevention, and treatment.

Covid

With the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency, we have changed our COVID-19 protocols in response to information shared by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Oregon Department of Education (ODE). Per the newest guidelines, school districts must handle COVID-19 like other communicable diseases. That means individuals should refrain from going to school or work while feeling ill until they have been fever-free for 24 hours and their symptoms are improving. Cases of COVID-19 are no longer a reportable disease to schools.
