Transferring to a Non-Resident School District
Families residing within Lake Oswego School District boundaries who wish to enroll a student in a public school district other than LOSD, must obtain approval through the inter-district transfer process.
- The district will grant a transfer to any school-age student who submits an inter-district transfer request. Please complete and sign one form per student.
- Completed forms should be forwarded to the Administration Building to the attention of Eden Armstrong.
- The district will make every attempt to process transfer requests within 5-6 business days from receipt of application. Some exceptions apply.
- Upon approval of the inter-district transfer, LOSD will forward the approved agreement to the requested school district for their consideration.
Families are encouraged to contact the non-resident school district they are seeking to enroll in to inquire about their process for enrolling non-resident students.
Inter-district transfer requests are not required for students who wish to enroll in a private school/program.
