Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
September 1-30
We can all help prevent suicide. Every year, mental health organizations and individuals worldwide raise awareness for suicide prevention during September. One way is to help spread the word: 988 is the three-digit dialing code to text or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This new dialing code has been available to everyone across the United States since July 16, 2022.
During Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, we aim to provide resources to assist you in your professional and personal roles. We have short videos to help start conversations if you are worried about someone and a video about 988/National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and what to expect when you call.
- Alone (for youth, made by youth)
- Stuck (made by youth for youth)
- We Can Talk About it (for youth)

- ¿Cómo te registras con un amigo? (Spanish)

Whether initiating a conversation, making a brief connection with a stranger, or sharing a helpful resource, these actions are all part of suicide prevention. Thank you for being part of the effort.
