Elementary
Are all meals free this school year?
No. In order to qualify for free meals, a meal application has to be filled and turned in. The link to the application can be found on our website or you can ask our Nutrition Services office for a copy.
Do I need to pay for breakfast or lunch meals?
If you do not qualify for free meals then yes.
How do I know if I have qualified for free meals?
If you submitted an application for free meals you will receive a letter with your eligibility certification.
Do I need to add money into my student’s SchoolCafe account?
If your student will be purchasing breakfast or lunch meals from the kitchen then you do have the option of paying through SchoolCafe.

Is there a fee for using SchoolCafe?
There is a $2.95 fee for any deposit made. Deposits can be made up to $500. For a deposit over $100, you can get your $2.95 fee credited back to your meal account.
Can I pay with cash or check?
Yes, checks can be turned into the school office or preferably the school kitchen.
Can my student bring their own meal from home?
Yes.
How can my student receive a breakfast meal?
Breakfast will be served each morning on a food cart in a centralized location near your schools entrance. Your student will provide their name to the staff member serving breakfast.
How can my student receive a lunch meal?
Lunch will be served in a centralized area in each school. Students will provide their lunch badge to be scanned.
My student requires meal modifications, how can they receive a modified meal?
Please contact the Nutrition Services Office to fill out a meal modification form.
Do I need to fill out a free & reduced meal application?
Only if you want to qualify for free or reduced school meals. These applications are also used to provide additional benefits through the Oregon Department of Education.
What is Oregon Expanded Income Guidelines?
The Oregon expanded income guidelines (EIG) reimbursement program is an Oregon funded school meal provision program. The program provides a supplemental reimbursement for meals provided at no charge to students who qualify under Oregon EIG guidelines but who do not qualify for free or reduced meals under federal income guidelines.
Will there be salad bars?
Yes! Each lunch line will have fresh produce options daily.
Where can I find the menus?
You can view them on SchoolCafe
You can view them through SchoolCafe once you have created your account.
My student is a light eater, can they only take part of what is offered?
Students will have the option of multiple entrees and a full salad bar to choose from. For lunch we offer five meal components. Grain, protein, fruit, veggies and milk. It is required that they take three components daily, one being a fruit or veggie.
Will a vegetarian option be offered?
Yes. An option will be available.
Will a vegan option be offered?
Yes, on most days you will see a vegan or plant-based option available. Please check your school menus.

Anything other than taking our complete meal would be considered an “A la carte” item and would be charged. This is in accordance with USDA guidelines.
What is a la carte?
A la carte are items purchased outside of the complete meal. The items may be entrée items, fruit, smart snack items or milk.

Yes. An option will be available daily.
