Principal Lilian Sarlos
A familiar presence in the Lake Oswego School District and the former principal at Oak Creek Elementary School, Lilian brings sought-after qualifications and skills to LOSD’s language immersion efforts. She is fluent in Spanish and has 23 years of experience teaching kindergarten-12th grades with a focus on learners for whom English is a second language (ESL), bilingual education and sustainability. She has served as an English Language Learner Teacher of Special Assignment in Oregon City School District and an elementary Spanish dual immersion teacher, a bilingual literacy specialist and an immersion coordinator in Portland Public and Woodburn School Districts.
Lilian earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Portland State University, a teaching bilingual K-12 credential from San Francisco State University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in Spanish literature from Occidental College in Los Angeles.
