What is OBOB?

  • The Oregon Battle of the Books, also known as OBOB, is a competition where you team up with friends to read books, then compete against other teams to see which one can remember the most about the books.

    How do I sign up?

Sign-ups will be in the Library.

    What is the time commitment?

Your team is repsonsible for reading all sixteen OBOB books, but you can divide them up among your teammates. Each person only needs to read 4-8 books, on his or her own time, between now and February. It's a good idea to have at least two people read each book, but not required.

    When will the battle begin?

Battles will be held in February. The winning team from Lakeridge Junior High will go to a regional competition in the spring and will compete against schools from all over Clackamas County.
