Welcome to TAG Corner!
Welcome to Lakeridge Middle School TAG. I have been teaching and leading in the district my entire career and am committed to the Lake Oswego Community and to your students.
Each year, we work to identify and welcome new Talented and Gifted (TAG) students using the SBAC percentiles from last spring’s test combined with coursework and/or teacher referrals.
At middle school, TAG is not a one-time-a-week pull out program. It is 24/7, “The air they breathe”. It is who they are. The bulk of your child’s TAG program is delivered through core classroom differentiated instruction. In order to provide an appropriate education to all students, the district recognizes that instruction and curriculum differentiation are essential for academically and intellectually gifted students. Your child’s teachers are providing high end differentiation within your child’s core classes.
Students will meet with me in the Fall to create their TAG plans. Your child will identify goals and pathways through middle school that connect their in-school studies with outside of school activities based on what they are passionate about in life and where they see themselves headed in the future.
It’s an exciting time to be a middle school TAG student and I am honored to be part of it. Please see the links below for more detailed information about TAG. If you have further questions, I am always available by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
