Welcome to TAG Corner!
I am the TAG coordinator for Lakeridge Junior High and Lake Oswego Junior High. I have been teaching and leading in the district my entire career and am committed to the Lake Oswego Community and your students. You can find me at LJH on most Tuesdays, Fridays and alternating Thursdays; and at LOJHS on most Mondays, Wednesday and alternating Thursdays. I am always available by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This fall, I have been working to identify and welcome new TAG students using the SBAC percentiles from last spring’s test combined with coursework and/or teacher referrals. I’ve also been working with teachers to help provide high end differentiation within your child’s core classes. There are so many exciting and challenging opportunities happening within their classrooms. I hope to feature just a few in the coming months. Stay tuned!
TAG is not a one-time-a-week pull out. It is 24/7, “the air they breathe”. It is who they are. We are talking about this as we meet to create TAG plans. I have been working with the 6th and 7th graders to develop their plans. In December we will begin 8th grade plans using results from the PSAT (for those that took it). Your student will create goals and pathways through school that connect their in-school studies with outside of school activities based on what they are passionate about in life and where they see themselves headed in the future.
It’s an exciting time to be a middle school TAG student and I am honored to be part of it. Thank you for welcoming me.
Did you miss the TAG Parent Night earlier this fall? Worry not. The presentation is available here:
