-
Vision
All Lakeridge High School students will depart empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to become healthy, creative, responsible, respectful and productive global citizens.
Mission Statement
The Lakeridge High School counseling department's mission is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that supports all students. Counselors teach students skills that support academic success, social/emotional wellness, community/service involvement, and college/career readiness. The program develops lifelong learners with critical thinking skills, while ensuring student safety, equity and access to education.
Beliefs
We believe each student is unique, and has special abilities, talents, and interests that must be recognized and nurtured. We believe effective school counseling is a collaborative process that requires support and positive relationships among school counselors, students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and the community.
We believe that a data-driven school counseling program is integral to a school system’s efforts to enhance healthy development and educational attainment for all students.
We believe that to be an effective school counseling program we must adhere to the American School Counselor Association’s (ASCA) ethical guidelines and standards. Our Department
Students are assigned to one of four school counselors based on the student's last name. Students will stay with their school counselor through all four years of high school. Lakeridge also has a full-time school social worker and a full-time academic support coordinator who work in conjunction with the school counselors.
We strive to individualize our services in order to help all Lakeridge students grow, learn and succeed.
