Pre-K Information
Application Process

Pre-K Information

Age	Four years on or before September 1
Time	8:30am-2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30am-1:50pm Thursday
Class size	Programs will be limited to 12 students per classroom
Location	Pre-K classes will be hosted at elementary schools with available classrooms. When possible, children will be placed in their neighborhood school. Others will be placed as close as possible.
Transportation	Parents will need to provide transportation. Pre-K children cannot ride the bus.
Fee	$900.00 per month, September - May (subject to change based on board approval)
Lunch	Students can bring a lunch or purchase a lunch at school
School Closures	Programs will follow the LOSD school calendar
Staff	Our pre-kindergarten teachers are all Lake Oswego School District employees. Staff attend in-service meetings on curriculum and appropriate learning practices, and each bring their own unique style to their programs.

Application Process

Application Opens: Wednesday, January 21, 2026

Application Closes: Friday, April 10, 2026

Lottery Process: Wednesday, April 15, 2026 (Families will be notified by Friday, April 17, 2026)

Conclusion of the Lottery Process

Following the completion of the lotteries, the district will make available any remaining slots in the classes on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications received after the lottery deadline will be date-stamped and enrolled in a class if space is available. If classes are full, applicants will be added to the wait list in order of receipt of the application.

The Pre-K Application is now closed.

Send in the $150 non-refundable registration fee (make checks payable to LOSD). Your application will be complete when the form and registration fee have been received.
