Welcome to Lake Oswego School District (LOSD), a high-performing K-12 comprehensive public school district that fosters a culture of belonging and educational excellence. For decades, LOSD has been consistently rated as the best school district in Oregon and among the top in the United States.

Our Schools: The LOSD community comprises approximately 6,800 students and their families, supported by around 850 educators and staff members across 11 schools:

  • Elementary Schools: Six neighborhood elementary schools and one world language immersion elementary school (Grades PreK-5)
  • Middle Schools: Two middle schools (Grades 6-8)
  • High Schools: Two high schools and one regional recovery charter school (Grades 9-12)
  • Special Programs: One Community Transition Program (up to age 21)

Our Location: LOSD is a suburban district about 10 miles south of Portland, Oregon. Lake Oswego is celebrated for its natural beauty, strong sense of community, and excellent schools.

Our success is bolstered by our an increasingly diverse and steadfastly engaged community, with over 5,000 volunteers contributing to our teaching and learning. Additionally, community residents consistently support our local bond and levy measures, as well as our foundation, ensuring funding that goes beyond what the state provides.
