LOSD is providing emergency childcare for first responders, emergency workers, health care professionals and all people working on the frontlines to keep our community safe and whole. Childcare is consistent with the guidance and requirements provided by the Early Learning Division of ODE.
LOSD now may serve families who return to work in the phased reopening if enrollment space is available under strict distancing guidelines. Child care will be consistent with the guidance and requirements provided by the Early Learning Division and statewide standards for child care operations. Child care is for families who absolutely need it. LOSD is able to care for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Child care will be a coordinated service and registration and payment for specific blocks of days and times are required. Space is limited to ten consistent children per cohort and classroom. For more information, you can contact loemergencychildcare@loswego.
To find available childcare providers in our area and to begin the registration process for this emergency service, please call 211, an information service that connects people with health and social organizations.
If you called 211 earlier, and did not get referred to LOSD, please try again. We've been assured LOSD is now listed.
