Prerequisite: Successful completion of Geometry with a C or higher

Recommended prerequisite: Intro to Programming or experience with programming

This course is aligned with the College Board’s expectations and will serve as an introduction to computer programming through the Java programming language. There will be a focus on object-oriented programming, development of algorithms and solving problems. We will use curriculum that has connections to the University of Washington’s CSE 142 course along with a course syllabus from TEALS and a partnership with TEALS volunteers to help with the technical skills associated with computer programming.
