You've received an offer of employment with the Lake Oswego School District. Congratulations!
Here are the next steps that must be completed as you transition to new employee status.
Getting Started

Accept HR Letter of Recommendation
- After you verbally accept your offer of employment, Human Resources will send you a Letter of Recommendation.
- Please review and accept the Letter of Recommendation.
- Then complete the background check step, which will also be provided. Please note that an electronic signature must be activated in both the top and bottom box of the form.
- After you verbally accept your offer of employment, Human Resources will send you a Letter of Recommendation.

Complete Hiring Packet
Once you have accepted the Letter of Recommendation and completed the background check step, you will receive a hiring packet to complete which includes the following:
- Verifications and Disclosures
Please note that verifciations and disclosures must be addressed to the correct person at your past employer(s) to provide the requested information. At many school districts, there are different departments that provide the information. Please contact your past employer(s) to make sure you are providing the correct email address for a quick and accurate completion of this step. - Financial Forms

Schedule Onboarding Meeting
When you have completed your hiring packet (verifications and disclosures are in process, and financial forms are completed), please contact hr@loswego.k12.or.us to schedule your onboarding meeting. Please plan for 30-40 minutes for this meeting.

Complete Online Training Modules
Please watch the following mandatory training videos prior to your onboarding meeting. When you attend your meeting you will be asked to verify that you have completed this training. Please click on the following links to access training videos:

What to Bring to Your Onboarding Meeting
- You will be required to bring your Social Security card to your onboarding meeting, which is needed for payroll/audit compliance. Thank you for being prepared for this.
- Please bring your debit card. We will be scheduling a fingerprinting appointment for you during your visit, and the debit card is needed to pay the online transmission fee of $12.50. (Please do not initiate your own fingerprinting prior to your meeting; we must schedule this appointment for you.)
Please plan for approximately 30-40 minutes for the appointment. We will be completing the rest of your onboarding steps as well as providing you with some basic onboarding information to help you navigate the various databases used by the school district. We will also provide you with some additional information for your reference as you get started in your new position.
