    Superintendent Search - Input Needed

The search for Lake Oswego School District’s new superintendent has begun. To kick off the process, the District invites all community members to take a survey and assist the Board in its search. The survey results will guide the Board in developing a profile of the ideal candidate to meet the District’s current and future needs. The community survey is available on the front page of the District’s website, https://www.losdschools.org/.

Ray and Associates, Inc., specialists in educational executive leadership searches, presented its plan for the District’s Superintendent search to the Board during a special meeting on August 21, 2018. The agency is planning a number of phases, beginning with the launch of the community survey this week.

The survey, posted on September 21, 2018, to the District website, is designed to gather feedback regarding what traits Lake Oswego School District’s families, employees, and residents would like to see in the next Superintendent. The survey is available in English, as well as Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Korean.

The “Qualities Desired in the new Superintendent” survey allows stakeholders to specify what traits they would most like to see in the permanent Superintendent. The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and will help to form the questions used in stakeholder focus groups and during candidate interviews.

Below are the links to the survey. It will remain open until October 10, 2018.
