  • Important dates for the 2020-2021 school year*

    • Application Deadline:  February 21, 2020 3:30pm
    • Lottery Date:  February 26, 2020 3:00pm
    • Lottery Notification:  March 2, 2020

    *Should the district receive more applications than spaces available, a lottery will be held. Those wishing to participate in the lottery must submit their application to the District Administration Office no later than 3:30pm on Friday, February 21, 2020

ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicants must be residents of the Lake Oswego School District. No applications will be accepted for out-of-district residents. Early admission students (born between September 2-15) will be considered by a supplemental lottery should space be available after all spots have been filled by age-eligible students. Early Admission students will be subject to all Early Admission application procedures and requirements. Children with birthdays after September 15th of the school year are not eligible for enrollment or early admission consideration according to School Board Policy.

Younger Siblings of Students in the Spanish Immersion Program

  • Younger siblings of students currently in kindergarten through 4th grade of the Spanish Immersion program have priority for enrollment only at the kindergarten level. Sibling priority does not apply to current siblings on the waitlist.

    If you currently have a child enrolled in the District’s kindergarten through 4th-grade Spanish immersion program, you will have the first choice for enrollment in the kindergarten program. You will not be entered into the lottery, but you must submit an application to the program prior to the February 21, 2020 3:30pm lottery deadline to be assured a slot. Slots not filled from sibling applications will be available in the general lottery. 

Program Locations

  • The elementary Spanish Immersion program is currently located at River Grove Elementary School. 

    The middle and high school level Spanish immersion programs are located at Lakeridge Middle School and Lakeridge High School.

Transportation

  • Currently transportation for northside elementary school students in Spanish Immersion is provided via a shuttle bus stop (Lake Grove Swim Park) for pick-up and drop off.
     
    As a courtesy to our northside elementary families, a shuttle bus is provided to pick up students from a bus stop and transport them to River Grove Elementary School. The shuttle bus will have no adult supervision at either the pick-up or drop off sites. 
     
    Kindergarteners require a parent or guardian to meet the school bus at pick-up in order for the driver to release the student.

    • Morning pick-up: Route 8 AM 7:37am
    • Afternoon drop-off: Route 8 PM 3:10pm

     

    If you would like to use Extended Care for your Spanish Immersion student, such care is provided at Palisades (in accordance with Extended Day services policies), and transportation is provided to/from Palisades and River Grove.
