World History is a thematic approach to modern world history that establishes the conceptual foundation, knowledge, and skills for later study in the social sciences. The purpose of this course is to provide students with an examination of patterns of change and continuity across time and space. The course focuses on developments that explain the dominance of the western world and the implications of that dominance. Additionally, students examine the relationship of world history, geography, politics, culture and economics to current events.
