Environmental Science provides a balanced approach to the diverse study of Earth's biosphere. The emphasis is on the study of science and the development of thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. A major goal is to provide students with the background and skills they need to analyze the many issues concerning our environment that personally affect them. This course emphasizes the following major themes: Energy, Evolution, Interacting Systems, Stability, Patterns of Change, and Scale and Structure. Students participate in various labs and activities throughout the course.
