AP Physics 2
This course involves students in a deep study of concepts and methods beyond those covered in Physics class. Students will study a range of fascinating topics: from electricity and magnetism, through optics and thermodynamics, to the more modern ideas of quantum mechanics and relativity. These topics all use powerful, abstract concepts to see the deeper structure of the universe that helps us to explain the world we experience daily. It prepares students to succeed on the AP Physics 2 test and earn college credit. It also readies students for the challenge of college physics courses, which is useful for anyone preparing for a career such as science, engineering, or medicine. The AP Physics exam will be offered in May.
