This course is an extension and application of the concepts and skills developed in Algebra and Geometry. The concept of function is emphasized. Topics to be covered include linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, polynomial, and trigonometric functions. Students will be expected to use a graphing calculator for data analysis. Students will study patterns in arithmetic and geometric sequences. Graphical, numerical, and symbolic representations of real-life applications will be used to build a conceptual understanding of the functions studied in this course. (Note: After successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to take Discrete Math, AP Statistics, or Pre- Calculus. It is necessary to complete Pre-Calculus before taking AP Calculus.)
