    Concert Band

    The Concert Band is comprised of freshmen and will rehearse and perform a variety of music. Class activities focus on both individual and group skill development. Performances include concerts, festivals, several athletic events in the fall, and participation in the Rose Festival Starlight Parade held in the late spring.

    Symphonic Band

    The Symphonic Band is the intermediate level band at LOHS. Students continue their study of music on both an individual and group level. Performances include concerts, festivals, several athletic events in the fall, and participation in the Rose Festival Parade held in the late spring. Class may be repeated for credit.

    Wind Ensemble–Dual Credit with PCC

    This band, comprised of the most skilled band students, continue their study of music through the rehearsal and performance of advanced wind ensemble literature. This band will perform at many contests, concerts, and festivals throughout the year. This band will also march in the Rose Festival Starlight Parade held in the spring. Class may be repeated for credit.  This is an audition course.  Information is below.

    Jazz Band

    This class focuses on jazz studies and performance of the many styles of jazz. Advanced technique is required as the band performs at school events, concerts, and contests. Jazz Band students are selected from the Concert, Symphonic Band, or Wind Ensemble and are required to enroll in one of those bands in addition to their enrollment in Jazz Band. Class may be repeated for credit.  This is an audition course.  Information is below.
